Amen Evolution is both an interactive drum sequencer and an experimental proof of the theory of evolution. When the "autobiogenesis" button is pressed, the sequencer produces 8 completely random drum beats. After each "generation," four of the beats are killed and four survive, based on their similarity to the world's most sampled drum beat The Amen Break. The DNA of the surviving beats are combined, with a random chance of mutation, in order to form the next generation.

Users may adjust the speed of generations, the levels of mutation and the original sample side, in order to watch an iconic drum beat evolve before their eyes and ears.

During the seemingly endless COVID lockdowns in Melbourne between 2020-2021, Cris created a digital replica of one of her favourite bars in Fitzroy, using nothing but instagram photos and her own memories of the space.

A digital representation of a proposed physical work, #FFFFFF is an interactive image editor, in which the user is required to encode colours in 8-bit binary. Both mesmerising and frustrating, this work encourages users to take a hands-on approach to data.
